RETURN OF BESIDE THE SEASIDE EXTRAVAGANZA
The summer holidays kick off this weekend with the return of the Beside the Seaside festival in Clacton.
This event is a great day out for the whole family to enjoy not only the live music, beach sports and family fun entertainment, but also what Clacton has to offer as a seaside resort.
The event plays host to a vast range of activities including craft and local organisation stalls, circus skills and a walkabout magician.
It takes place on 22 July, from 11am-6pm.
A Children’s Area will include activities such as face painting, sandcastle competitions and craft workshops to keep little ones occupied whilst older children and adults enjoy the sunshine and music acts.
The Clacton event comes the day after the official opening of the £4million Clacton Pier development, meaning this weekend really kick-starts the summer holidays in the town.
Mick Skeels, Tendring District Council Cabinet Member for Leisure and Tourism, said: “Beside the Seaside is such a great opportunity for us to showcase what our district has to offer.
“I hope to see many people come and enjoy this event, in the sunshine with all their family and friends.”
