Chris Amos has lived in Clacton for most of his life. Married with four children, he works in the local retail footwear sector. Previously, Chris has been both a small businessman – owning a local shop for over 15 years – and a HGV driver.
He first became involved in local issues because he didn’t think the local council at the time was listening to ordinary people. Honoured to be elected to Tendring District Council Chris has made it his priority to ensure the voices of local residents are both heard and responded to.
Chris was asked to be Tendring District Council’s Armed Forces Champion. He is delighted to be able to work closely with those currently serving in our forces, together with those who have served our country
Chris thinks that the only way to ensure that the problems and needs of local people are listened to in County Hall is to have a voice that truly reflect their concerns and is willing to say the things that need to be said.
